Try planning out your meals and healthy snacks for the day to avoid mindless grazing.
- Get moving again! In Phoenix, gyms have been cleared to reopen so it may be time to get in some sweat sessions if you feel safe doing so. Gyms are required to limit capacity and continually sanitize, but if you’re not ready to go back there’s plenty of ways you can still get the healthy benefits of exercise. Try going for walks or a bike ride in the early morning or late evening when the Phoenix summer heat isn’t so bad.
- Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Step away from the iced coffee and alcohol-seltzers and make it a goal to drink as much water as possible! To rev up your metabolism and assist proper digestion, increase your water intake according to your goals – the general guideline is to drink at least half your body weight in ounces. So, if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink at least 80 ounces of water a day.
